An over-the-top evening of visual art, design, dance and theatre experiences will be held at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point on Saturday, February 1st. This year’s Arts Bash is proud to introduce a very special UWSP Theatre and Dance alum, Andrea Boehkle, as the emcee.
You may remember Andrea from CBS’s Survivor or The Better Show. A Wisconsin native, Andrea currently resides in NYC and is an avid blogger who composes fashion reviews for Nu-Modé magazine. UWSP is very excited to welcome her back as Arts Bash’s special guest!
Arts Bash 2014 will be held at the Noel Fine Arts Center from 7 to 10:30 p.m., featuring student dance and theatre performances, an art sale, the ever-popular wearable sculpture show, art demonstrations, and fine food and drinks. The primary fundraiser for the Departments of Theatre & Dance, and Art & Design, Arts Bash has raised over $250,000 for student scholarships and programs since its inception in 2003.
A sale of donated artworks by professional artists, faculty, alumni and current students from the Department of Art and Design will begin at 7 p.m., followed by student performances at 7:30 p.m. A dance party will begin around 9:30 p.m. with the event ending at 10:30 p.m.
Complimentary hors d’oeuvres, desserts, wine and beer will be served and a cash bar will be available. Guests are encouraged to wear expressive attire.
Tickets are $50 in advance and may be purchased online at www.artsbash.com. Tickets will be $75 at the door the night of the event. For more information, call 715-346-3956 or e-mail email@example.com.
